About Us

Calvary Bible Church was founded in 1973 to minister to the spiritual needs of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.

Our emphasis is people. People have individual needs and need individual attention.

At Calvary Bible Church we love people and enjoy working with all ages.

It is our commitment not only to present Christ to a lost world but also to provide a church home - a family - where believers are encouraged from the Word of God. Although there are many churches in the area, we are not "just another church." We have a heart for people - people just like you!

Give us the joy of knowing you personally and the opportunity to grow with you spiritually.

Brief Statement of Faith of CBC

We believe the Bible to be the divinely inbreathed, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His unqualified deity, His sinless humanity and perfect life, His vicarious atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father's right hand. We believe in the Blessed Hope - the Rapture of the Church at Christ's coming, and His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule for a thousand years.

We believe that justification is a judicial act of God on the believer's behalf solely on the merits of Christ, and that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe in Christ's Lordship of the Church, the observance of the ordinances of Christian baptism by immersion for believers, and the Lord's Supper.

We believe in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in heaven and the eternal doom of the unregenerate in the lake of fire.
